RE: Difference between Punch & Die and Two Profiles?

hi,

As i know that people will calls,
male shape profile will be a punch.
female shape profile will be a die.
Punch can be upper die or lower die. In same way die can be upper die or lower die. Its depends on die design or shape of the part.
I will say that call by upper die and lower die instead of calling punch or die.

Thank you,
srinivas
