Anyone familar with SKM Captor program

Anyone familar with SKM Captor program

(OP)
Hi,
Anyone familar with SKM captor program version 5.

I have a SKM file which contains the single line diagram with relay setting nicely drawn for 5 substations.

One of the substation was recently re-vamped and the single line diagram was drawn separated from the existing file.

Anyone know any "easy" way to put the new single line with the new relay setting into the existing file and at the same time over write that particule substation which has been removed???...

Thanks.

RE: Anyone familar with SKM Captor program

I have no idea if this will actually work.  Please let me know if it does.

Save both single line files within the same project file of SKM.  Delete (Destroy) the components from the existing single line which have been replaced.  Switch to the new single line which contains the correct component information.  Copy and switch back to the old single line and paste.  I'm not sure if you can copy/paste multiple components at once, but its worth a shot.  Let me know if this works...

RE: Anyone familar with SKM Captor program

That won't work, there is a single database per project and a one-line is just a view into the database.  I believe, though, that there is a merge capability and when duplicates are encountered during the merge, you get to choose what to do with them.  Try that, using separate copies of both files.

RE: Anyone familar with SKM Captor program

That works!  Do as davidbeach has suggested: Merge the two project files together <Project --> Merge>.  Then do as I have suggested in my first post by copying from one single line and paste to the other.  I just tried it and it seems to work fine while selecting mutliple components.

Good Luck!

RE: Anyone familar with SKM Captor program

With v6.0, you can update the one-line. I don't know about v5.0.
Can't you just change the one-line and setting in the project and then just import into the same TCC? You may want to do this in a new Scenario.
