EBSD ----> texture/grain size measurements

EBSD ----> texture/grain size measurements

(OP)
I am basically trying to find out all sort of problems (and solutions) that you guys encountered while treating the files and seeing the results obtained from EBSD measurements.

Does anyone use the HKL Software (Channel 5)?

I am obtaining enormous grains (the sample image shows us medium grains) and the problem seems to come from the way my software (Channel 5) uses to interpret data. If two high angle grain boundaries are not perfectly closed, it considers those as a single huge grain. Any other possibility of why I am having these results in this case ?

Personal experiences regarding problems that may rise from treating EBSD data (with any software) would be appreciated.  Problems leading to biased pole figures/texture maps etc would be welcome as well.

Thank you,
Maleck
