need help in classification of soil hydrogroup.

(OP)
Dear Engineers
I need help from you. I have a soil map of a study area in form of soil type classification. I would like to convert this map into soil hydrogroups, according to the infiltration characters of each soil type.
I have 10 soil types:
Calcic Haplosalids
Gypsic Haplosalids
Inclined limestone
Lithic Haplocalcids
Lithic Torriorthents
Typic Aquisalids
Typic Haplocalcids
Typic Haplodurids
Typic Torripsamments
Typic haplocalcids
I need to convert each of these afformentiond soil types to its hydrologic soil group i.e A, B, C or D group.
Also there are some other labels of different spots like:
Beach
Bench
Questa
Rock outcrop
Rocky hill

I will appreciate fast help.
Thank you very much

RE: need help in classification of soil hydrogroup.

Sounds like you need a soil scientist, not an engineer! Engineers can't even pronounce most of those.  Are you anywhere near a university with an ag school?  If you are in the US, your county extension agent might be able to steer you to a local soil scientist.

Bon chance!

RE: need help in classification of soil hydrogroup.

it sounds like a field trip is in order.  Take a shovel, bucket for simple percolation test etc. and make your own assessment of the typical hydrologic soil group.  By the way, these maps typically are prone to errors anyway and should always be field verified.
