conversion list for stainless steel identification

(OP)
Hi folks,

does anyone of you know where to find an up to date conversion list for material identifications (AISI, DIN, common trade names)?

Many thanks in advance.

Kind Regards,
hahor

RE: conversion list for stainless steel identification

The first book to buy is the UNS handbook.
It lists
UNS numbers, chemistry, specifications, and common names.

A good start is the Stahlschlussel or Key to Steel. In section 14 it gives a conversion list of the most common types. Have a look at http://www.key-to-steel.com
