I need help with a 2 dimensional fluid flow analysis
(OP)
I want to be able to determine the zone of influence of a submerged jet of liquid impinging 90° perpendicular to a flat plate inside a tank with a known liquid density and a known working liquid level. I suppose I am looking for a velocity profile in two dimensions with the assumption that there will be similarity in the third dimension since the jet will be assumed located in the center of the tank.
I don’t remember how to do finite difference fluid mechanics and I’m not sure I want to learn how. It looks extremely painful. Is there a downloadable software package that I can use or maybe a simple Mathcad file that I can buy that already does this? Your contributions will save future testing. I’m hoping that I won’t have to run test for this.
Thanks.

u=-x/(x^2+y^2), v = -y/(x^2+y^2)
∂u/∂x = -1/(x^2+y^2) + 2*x^2/(x^2+y^2)
∂v/∂y = -1/(x^2+y^2)+ 2*y^2/(x^2+y^2)
