Impingement Plate Distance From Inlet?

Impingement Plate Distance From Inlet?

Impingement Plate Distance From Inlet?

(OP)
Does anyone have information on the recommended distance from the inlet nozzle of a horizontal gas-liquid separator to the impingement plate (first stage spearation element)?  I have checked all my references and API 12J and there's nothing in there.

Thanks!

RE: Impingement Plate Distance From Inlet?

Sir,
The answer is at TEMA - standards of the Tubular Exchanger Manufacturers Association:
1. Section 5 - RCB-4.6 / 4.61 / 4.62 / 4.621 / 4.622 / 4.623 / 4.624

2. Section 10 - RGP-RCB-4.62 / 4.621 / 4.622

I hope it helps.

Regards,
Shmulik
