When you say overlap do you mean an overlap of the area required for reinforcement or an actual overlap of the pads themselves?

i guess it would depend on the spacing between the nozzles, maybe they can be a little closer together than if there were two pads side-by-side ...

In addition to reinforcing considerations, weld distortion may make it prudent to use a single repad on two nozzles rather than two separate reinforcements.
