Weight of structure

Weight of structure

(OP)
Anyone familiar with FEMAP (using NX Nastran as the solver) knows how to use the software to calculate the weight of structure and use it as the input load. (The material and associated density were specified).

RE: Weight of structure

Not familiar with your software, but you probably need to add a mass proportional load or something of that sort. Its not usually enough just to specify the material properties. Be sure to use consistent units!

RE: Weight of structure

use the density property,
maybe you need a separete run with a body force (of 1g) to get the weight as a result (sumFz) ?
