If you are interested in Diesel Aircraft engines, then check out Centurian Engines at http://www.centurion-engines.com/ or Delta Hawk Engines at http://www.deltahawkengines.com/. The idea of using diesel engines for aircraft use has been around for a long time, but now are much more practicable.

Mercedes Diesels were used as airship engines.

Junkers Diesels were used on airships and airplanes.

Ja, das is richtig.

There is some interest in diesels in homebuilts. A friend is even building an RV with a Wankel engine. Many have done this before him.
