please tell me about the babbit properties that makes it useful for Turbine bearings. please tell about mechanical properties useful for designing it.

Babbit alloys in turbine bearing applications??? Be Careful!

I think this is unheard-of in Aircraft turbines which use primarily Al-Ni-Fe Bronze or Be-Cu alloys due to loads and temperatures!

Thank you Rich.I am infact have asked for steam turbine of >200 MW capacity. If you can give more specific information about design features , i will be better knowledged.
