Hello all! I'm a new user looking for a little help.
We are looking for an equivalent to S45C which i believe is a Chinese spec which we cannot source in the UK.
Any help would be appreciated!

It's a alloy steel, possibly for gear box shafts etc?

I alos see that it can be related to 1045 carbon steel (commonly know as AISI grades, but thats not true anymore)
If you need to buy some then there are lots of places that will sell 1045 bar stock, the UK must have an equivalent to McMaster Carr.....Or Grainger.

JIS code for steels always start with S (which means steel)
SXXC, Steel plain Carbon
SUPXX, P denotes Piano (for spring)
SUSXXX, S denotes Stainless
SUMXX, M denotes machining
