There is a caveat in purchasing flame scanners and detectors.  
If you are going to have to do any Radiography in the area of installation you will have to make sure of the operation of the instruments in a radiation field. Some of the instruments are extremely sensitive to Gamma Radiation. This is especially true of the self checking ones.
