Denitrification in Onsite System

Denitrification in Onsite System

Denitrification in Onsite System

(OP)
Hello all,
I am designing an onsite wastewater system to treat residential strength wastewater.  We are using a FAST system.  We are recirculating ~20% of the water back to the trash tank.  What is the most appropriate way to model the reduction in nitrogen that takes place in the trash tank.  Any references would be appreciated. Thank you.

RE: Denitrification in Onsite System

I used one of these systems in a design. I suggest calling one of Smith and Loveless engineers. Keep in mind that these systems require a lot of energey due to the blowers that run constantly.
