Common causes of faults in power stations

Common causes of faults in power stations

Common causes of faults in power stations

(OP)
Does anyone have a link to a table or info which shows the common causes of faults in power stations?

RE: Common causes of faults in power stations

What exactly are you asking for?  There are many faults ranging from a fault in a generator stator to faults on the feeds of auxiliary systems or even lighting.  One could even assume a power station operator error is a fault.
You need to be more specific.

Yea, thanks for reminding. For example I have a table in front of me that look something like this:

Cause of overhead-line faults, British system 66kV and above:

                  faults/160km of line/year
lightning          1.59
dew,fog,frost      0.15
snow, ice          0.01
gales
salt spray
Total

so on...

it will be great if i can find a table that looks something like the above.

Thanks

RE: Common causes of faults in power stations

I don't have a table, but the the majority of our substation faults are animal related with snakes being the worst and birds second.
