cylindrical centreline not working

we still use UG V18.0.6.1 and have a problem within drafting whereby the cylindrical centre line will not pick any cylinder on the drawing ..  period (sections or views). any ideas as to what I should be trying ..

RE: cylindrical centreline not working

In the utility symbol dialog, make sure that the selection filter is set to cylindrical face. I think it defaults to 'control point' which will not allow you to select cylinders.

did that, no joy

RE: cylindrical centreline not working

Try making hidden edges visible in your section view when placing the symbol, then make them invisible.

RE: cylindrical centreline not working

This not work:
1. In half section view and revolve section view - not faces display.
2. If you use drawing member view with EXTRACT edge option and view consist only edges - not faces.
In Preference\Drawing set "Display and Emp..sis" options for display faces in drawing view.

RE: cylindrical centreline not working

Cylindrical centerlines can be a pain. They also lose associativity in the master model concept when the model is unloaded. You may consider using "block centerline"
