Hide PDMWorks files from view based on status ??

Hide PDMWorks files from view based on status ??

Hide PDMWorks files from view based on status ??

(OP)
Is there a way to hide PDMWorks files from view in the project list based on their status ??. When I need to check-out files I have to navigate through many Obsolete (status) files that just crowd up my projects files list. Or is there a better way?
Also, is there a way to view project files in a different sort order rather than the default assembly / part order? all by "name" for example as they would be in my folder when I check them out. Or all by file type?

Maybe create a project folder called Obsolete?
I do not know of a way to sort the files.

I'm not aware of a way to display the files in the vault in a different manner, but you may be able to navigate to the files you want quickly by using the search functionality.

I think ctopher's idea of a project or sb-project for obsolete is good.

With the PDMAdministrator you can also restrict access to certain users based upon status. It is found on the Lifecycle tab within the PDM VaultAdmin screen.

I agree with ctopher to put them in an "Obsolete" project or sub-project folder. An advantage to doing this is that you can hide that project folder from users view within the Admin as well.

Chris is right about creating an obsolete folder. Then hiding that folder in users PDM tree.
