Gas densities and Gas constants
Gas densities and Gas constants
(OP)
Hi,
I was recently doing some work where I wound up looking at gas densities at different pressures. It got me thinking about values for the universal gas constant, R. At this stage I have seen many different values and units, from 287.05 J/kgK (for air) to 0.08205746 L.atm/K.mol.
My question is, does anyone know of a resource that gives an exhaustive list (or near enough)of all the values of the gas constant and the units of the other variables that should be used with it, i.e. pressure in BarA, Pa, Atm etc..
Any contribution would be greatfully accepted.
Thanks
Niall

RE: Gas densities and Gas constants
I have prepared some tables that give nearly 200 values. See
http://www.katmarsoftware.com/gconvals.htm
If you want more than that (about 900!) download the calculator from that page and you can generate just about any combination you can think of.

RE: Gas densities and Gas constants
The CRC Handbook of Chemistry and Physics has such a table under the heading Values of the gas constants in different unit systems.
Also table 1-9 on Perry VI.
