Tool Path Verification

When using the internal Tool Path Verification feature in NX2, is there no way to rotate the part around once you run the Dynamic Tool Path Verification??

RE: Tool Path Verification

I believe you can create a faceted body of the final, then spin it.

RE: Tool Path Verification

Yes that does work but..  It will output a .prt file for every operation that you run dynamic verification on.  Also the part model that is output has flaws in it.  I was hoping that it would show me the undercuts/heavy spots but it does not.  Thanks for the comment though. Wonder what I could use that for anyhow.

RE: Tool Path Verification

From what I was told on the phone they either have, or are nearing completion on a full 3D verification software system unlike the 2D that it has now. I'm stuck in NX2, like I'm sure quite a few aerospace people are, and can't update to check it out. In the mean time I still use Vericut, and it does the job.

RE: Tool Path Verification

I am on NX3 and am satisfied with the Verify tool although I am only a part time user.  I can spin & pan while watching the tool cutaway at the model. I assume Vericut has this?

RE: Tool Path Verification

Vericut does not offer simultaneous panning and zooming while cutting as of the latest version. V6?

It will let you pan and zoom while the path is paused, then take a few minutes to re-draw the geometry before continuing. It's frustrating at best.

I'm using NX2 right now, and I haven't been able to make the verify portion work well. Maybe I need some training.
