Moist Cure Room Help

Moist Cure Room Help

Moist Cure Room Help

(OP)
For the last week i've been searching for information on moist cure rooms and how to construct them. Ive been able to find bits and pieces such as accessories, but have yet found a good example of a completed room or any sort of how-to documentation. Ive tried for 3 years to talk my employer into letting me build one, and finally they have agreed. But the problem is, i dont want to spend 5 to $10,0000 on something that may not work. Anybody have any links or information they would like to share on any aspect of this i would greatly appreciate it.......Thanks

RE: Moist Cure Room Help

I have worked at a couple of labs that had very organized well built moisture rooms.  I've seen many other labs and their moisture rooms.  I think I could built a great moisture room.  I'm available as a consultant at the rate of $225/hour and a 40 hour minimum plus expenses.  Leave email or other contact info and I'll get back to you.

Document the greatest number of cylinders and beams stored in the past and build for 200% of that capacity if growth of the business is forseen.  Horse tanks are not condusive to good record keeping and will wear out your back.  Use tailgate height unloading docks and aisles sufficient for two wheel dollies.  Multi-segment plastic curtains are better than hinged doors at the entrance.  Design the shelves with the 28 day calendar in mind. Label the visible ends of the specimens and have sufficient lighting for fog and mist conditions. Multiple floor drains and limited slope are safety pluses.  Have a structural engineer review the sheving design (for deflection as well as strength).

Think Walk-in freezer... (I have one from  Par Eng.)
12x24 ... they come in all sizes. with a Misting system and temp control unit.   4" thick poly foam panels faced with stainless steel that lock together with 1/4 turn latches.
I just relocated ours from Las vegas to Tucson AZ.

Might not be cheap but The Prfect Setup

(dont forget the floor drain!)
