Looking for TEST BLOCK

Looking for TEST BLOCK

Looking for TEST BLOCK

(OP)
Looking for a "TEST BLOCK".
Tried to GOOGLE GE Global Model NO. 1721-484 and can't seem to locate. Block has a combination of 3 single pole and 3 double pole switches. Device is used for isolation of Main Generator current (CT's)inputs to NEXIS System for trip logic. The Test Block has been used in two of our other Generator circuits. It is approximatly 8in. long, 3in. wide with what I would call a phenolic (plastic) or Term Block (Black) composit. I tried to drop in a diagram of the Test BLOCK but didn't seem to paste. Doing something wrong.
Thanks for your help.

RE: Looking for TEST BLOCK

Google for "Test Switches".  Not sure if you'll find an exact equivalent, but ABB, States, and Meter Devices all make test switches in the US.

You could contact GE regarding the ones you have now.

Thanks dpc:
I was in the Turbine Supervisory Panel looking at the existing "TEST Block" this morning and saw "States MultiAmp" (now Megger) on the cover. I'm very familure with MultiAmp but first time for "STATES". Thanks for your help. I think our Procurement Engineering might have the Model no. and Mfg. wrong on this one. You saved me some time.
Thanks again,

RE: Looking for TEST BLOCK

You may also consider ABB FT Test switches (formerly Westinghouse FT.

RE: Looking for TEST BLOCK

I have only found the instructions for posting an image  the 'preview post' page:

To include an image in your post:
=  (sample only)

In essence, you have to post the image to a hosting site, then link to that site using the syntax above.

Free hosting sites can be found with any search engine.

RE: Looking for TEST BLOCK

Thanks danw2, I'll give another try.

RE: Looking for TEST BLOCK

02101972,

There's a FAQ written by CBL which gives the procedure: FAQ559-1100

If you're talking about the little animation in my sig line, that uses the [img abc...xyz] syntax as shown in the FAQ. If you post something in the sig line, spare a thought for dialup users. Mine is just 9.7k.

RE: Looking for TEST BLOCK

ABB Flexi-test switches or Megger Switches will work...

Wanted to thank you all for the replies to the "TEST Block".
FYI It turned out to be:

STATES / MULTI-AMP / AVO INTERNATIONAL
P/N C3-209-K
9 POLE TEST SWITCH.

Your responses as always were/are greatly appreciated and always full of valuable info. I would have liked to have seen an Eng. Tips Forum 40 years ago.

Another Source for this type of switch is TESCO

RE: Looking for TEST BLOCK

Try "Shorting Block"

RE: Looking for TEST BLOCK

careful....

the standard configurration for "FT" type switch is 10 poles.  The standard for wiring is Left to Right

Va,Vb,Vc,Ia,Ia+,Ib,Ib+,Ic,Ic+,Vn.  The standard also should have all of the top poles feeding the relay/meter and all of the bottom poles going to the system (CT/VT).  The neutrals on the bottom of FT should be commoned.

Many people have forgotton how to wire these devices, which causes headaches in the future.
