inserting items into dynamic blocks

inserting items into dynamic blocks

(OP)
Anyone know how to add items to a dynamic block that is already created in AutoCAD 2006/2007?  I have a fairly complex block and the only way I can seem to add items to the selection set is when originally creating the block.  When doing that of course, I lose the dynamic properties.  For example, in a machine assembly, I forgot to add some bolts.  I already added dynamic moves and lookups.  How can I add the bolts to the block now?  The old "edit block in place" editor allowed you to hit the "+" icon to add items to the selection set, but editing using that method doesn't seem to be an option once dynamic.
