Annimation software ?

Annimation software ?

Annimation software ?

(OP)
Does anyone know what software is used to make the solidworks screen saver of the engine?  Or what software is used to make professional looking (mechanical) 3D annimations?

RE: Annimation software ?

You can make animations from SolidWorks. You can also import SW models into 3D Studio Max and make realistic animations.

RE: Annimation software ?

Look into SWX animator, you can do some pretty good mechanical animations like showing real time assembly explosion's, showing mechanical movement of parts, etc... if your creative you can do some pretty amazing things with it, you can also use it in conjunction with photoworks for rendering scenes for animations.

The engine was created using SolidWorks Animator and PhotoWorks by Brian Hill.  www.bxhdesigns.com

Hmmm I have tried the Solidworks annimator a bit in the past but didn't have much luck with it.  I was able to create really simple annimations where one part moves at a time, but I've been unable to make multiple parts interact.  Is this possible using solidworks?  Do I just need to do some more learning ?

Luca83... .those annimations are really really cool.  Exactly what I want to do.  Do you need a really powerful machine when doing that in Solidworks?

Sorry Luca83... that compliment was actually meant for rockguy.

RE: Annimation software ?

Jamaz17,
I suggest getting training for the SW animation. It is very cool.
Robs site has some excellent info.
Yes, the more RAM, best video card, etc, will help.

RE: Annimation software ?

I don't have a super computer and produce some good renderings and animations.  More power certainly helps but it's not mandatory.  It just takes longer.

Thanks for teh words ctopher
