Mershing a 3D cylinder

Mershing a 3D cylinder

Mershing a 3D cylinder

(OP)
I have a problem on what seems a pretty easy problem.

I made in Patran a sylinder. Since i do not have the license to use primitive, I had to make a rectangular surface and revolve it around the z-axis.

Then, I only want to mesh this cylinder, but Patran tells me that it is not meshable. I already modeled it in 2D with axysemetric elements but i want to compare the results with the 3D model. Is there anyway to do this?

Thanks!

All right, seems like I've been albe to mesh my cylinder, but I have a lot of difficulties to constrain de model. I want to simulate an interfrence fit between a cylinder and a pin. I've calculated equivalent pressure on the pin and I'm applying it on my pin model. How am I suppose to constrain the pin now?

Thanks!
