My Help in SW2006 SP4.1 stopped working.

I can't say when this has happened because I don't check help very often. Sometimes after an SP update.

Here's what I get:

I could really use some help.

RE: Help wanted

Does that title bar say "SP 5.0"?

RE: Help wanted

Find the "sldworks.chm" file in your SolidWorks install folder under LANG/ENGLISH.  right click on the file, select properties and then select "unblock" near the bottom of the dialog box.

No, SP5-EV it is not installed. I installed just the files from swHelpEnglish hoping it will start working.

Rockguy, your tip worked, a big star for you. Thank you very much.

RE: Help wanted

did you clear you temp internet folder? sometime that can cause an issue.

RE: Help wanted

When windows hotfix 896358 is installed it sets up some security tags and it just so happens to block the SW help file. You have to launch it and it should ask something about being a security issue. Just click OK and select "Always remember" and you should not see this issue again.

RE: Help wanted

Can anyone explain why the Helps title bar would be showing SP5.0 if SP5.0 isn't loaded?

bootmills is right, the help files are the ones for SP5.0, I downloaded from SolidWorks website. When I unzipped them to SolidWorks folder they replaced the existing ones.
