Is there some restrictions for the dimension of solid element?
Is there some restrictions for the dimension of solid element?
(OP)
Hi,everyone:
We all know that when using 3D solid elements such as SOLID 45, SOLID95 etc., we'd better mesh the model with hexahedron shape. I wonder are there some restrictions for the dimension .Is the ratio between length and width of one element should be less than a value?

RE: Is there some restrictions for the dimension of solid element?
there is no restriction in the overall size, but as you say the aspect ratios do have a warning and an error threshold. I seem to remember respectively 10 and 30, but you'd better see in the Help (moreover, the thresholds can be modified by the user, but BE CAREFUL !!!)
