Adding Connection node to shapes
Adding Connection node to shapes
(OP)
Hello all,
I basically would like a rectangle box (such as process block) with connection nodes along the edges. At the bottom edge (or one of the edges), as opposed to a single connection node (as is the case with process block/shape), I would like to separate connection nodes.
This is so that two links are not joining at the same node. How could I do this in visio?
please note that I have had no sleep in the past 48 hours, and finding a little difficult to communicate.. so what i wrote might not make a lot of sense :)

RE: Adding Connection node to shapes
If that's still not enough, the "Standard" toolbar has a connection point tool, located under the connection tool in Visio 2000. Selecting the connection point and selecting the shape allows you to left mouse button move connection nodes. <ctrl>-LMB allows you to add connection points to a shape. For a quickie change, this is it.
For a more formalized change, right mouse click a shape and "Show Shape Sheet" The "Connection Points" worksheet shows all the existing connection points, Right-click a row and you can insert additional rows and formulaically insert new connection points. Connection points inserted this way behave algorithmically correct when a shape is scaled.
