Petrochemical Drafting Standards
Petrochemical Drafting Standards
(OP)
I am searching for a definitive guide on drafting standards specifically for the petrochemical industry. I have checked several obvious sources and found nothing specific about refineries or other petrochemical facilities. Any help is greatly appreciated.

RE: Petrochemical Drafting Standards
Search here for "petro" for some.

For 'drafting', see ASME-Y14.5 1994. There are others too.

Never argue with an idiot. They'll bring you down to their level and beat you with experience every time.
RE: Petrochemical Drafting Standards
This will probably make a difference.
Most posters on this forum seem to be US (or maybe Canada) and respond accordingly with ASME/ANSI etc stds.
If you are in another country different specs will apply.
These days most seem to be gradually converging onto the ISO but there are still differences.

RE: Petrochemical Drafting Standards
Kenat asks a fair question; we are in the U.S.A. but, our clients and other partner companies are on every continent. The inconsistencies we are seeing could also be due to ASME/ANSI vs. ISO.
Do any of you gentlemen know if this issue has been looked at by any industry organizations?
Thanks again for all your help!
