I am new to solidworks and hope this is not a dumb question. When I insert a solidpart into my assembly I get another Feature Manager tree which aeems to be a duplicate of the original FM tree. Am I doing something wrong, or is there an option I need to switch? I dont believe this is normal.

SW program is on a different computer so its not so easy to upload a snapshot. Basically what I am getting is a copy of my Feature Manager tree directly under the original. Have you ever heard of this happening?

RE: Insert solidpart in asmbly yeilds multiple Featr Manager Trees

You should be able to grab the edge of the tree frame and drag it all the way up (or down) to get rid of it.
