Weldment Sub-Details

Weldment Sub-Details

(OP)
SWX 2006 SP4.0

We have a part which is drawn using the weldment feature.  On our 2d detail sheet, we need to show a sub-detail view of one of the plates because there needs to be machining done on it before it is welded into place.  I thought I could make a separate configuration where I turned off all of the other solid bodies and left only that one showing.  Unfortunately, when I turn off the solid bodies in one config, they are off in all.  Has anyone else ever had the need for a sub-detail of a weldment?  If so, how did you go about this.  I do not want to have to make a sperate part file just to show this view.

Thanks

RE: Weldment Sub-Details

Use a "Relative View" on a seperate sheet in your drawing to show the single piece. Check Help for the procedure.

Thanks so much! That's exactly what I was looking for.
