Line Sizing with Multiple Evaporators and an EPR valve

Line Sizing with Multiple Evaporators and an EPR valve

(OP)
I was wondering if anyone knew how to or where I can go to learn more about sizing refrigerant lines for a refrigeration system using multiple evaporators and an EPR valve.  (Upstream Pressure Regulating Valve) I have a system using 134a with one compressor connected to a chill box AND a freeze box.  Any help would be appreciated! Thanks in advance.

RE: Line Sizing with Multiple Evaporators and an EPR valve

Trane has a pretty good manual on refrigerant pipe sizing. ASHRAE Fundamentals Handbook is a good source for pipe sizing and their Refrigeration Handbook has some good data on proper piping layout.

I'm not a real engineer, but I play one on T.V.

Yorkman,

This is zillionth time you recommending Trane technical books and do it one more time, you will be snapped with contempt of job(more specifically organization)poke.

I think you are damn confident about your boss not visiting this sitewink

RE: Line Sizing with Multiple Evaporators and an EPR valve

Sorry I thought it was a good manual, hope that using a manufactures name did not break the rules!blush Actually I like the ASHRAE Handbook series better but it seems a lot of people don't keep those in their library. Maybe I need to improve my resourse librarysmarty
