AWS PLANS WELDING IN AIRCRAFT AND AEROSPACE CONFERENCE
The American Welding Society (AWS) will conduct a two-day Welding in Aircraft and Aerospace Conference, September 19-20 at the Doubletree-Dayton Downtown in Dayton, Ohio. Leading aircraft and aerospace experts, including airframe designers, suppliers, researchers, educators, and administrators, from academia and organizations around the world will gather in the birthplace of aviation to discuss the latest research, issues and practical applications that are reshaping welding in the aircraft and aerospace industry. The conference will explore several innovative technologies, including friction stir welding, the fiber laser and additive manufacture. Attendees will also have an opportunity to learn about new methods for joining aluminum in fuselage and wing structures as well as new processes for welding engine parts and other high-performance components.
