NX4 Toolbar Icon Size Customization?
NX4 Toolbar Icon Size Customization?
(OP)
Hi,
Glad I found this forum.
I've just started using NX4. I have adjusted my toolbar icon size to extra small. But, is only doing it on Standard, View, Utility, Analysis, Selection, & Snap Point toolbars. Form Feature, Feature Operation, Edit Feature, ect. All have much larger buttons. Very frustrating, when you want as much screen size as possible for part.
Have been using 2 quite a while & this is not a problem.
Thanks

copy/paste from the help files:
"NX 4 introduces the concept of a customized user interface called a "role." A role allows you to tailor the user interface by showing only the toolbars and menu items you are likely to use.
By default, NX presents an essential set of toolbars and menu items which is the best starting point for learning the software. The default Essentials (Recommended) role presents large easy–to–see icons with the icon name underneath. If this role doesn't have an option you need, you can either choose Tools?Customize?Commands to add it to a toolbar, or choose another essentials or advanced role from the System Defaults folder or the Industry Specific folder. The advanced roles present smaller icons and the icon names are available in screen tips.
As you become more experienced, you can use NX's customization tools to organize menus and toolbars to suit your needs and then save them as your personal roles. If you have used an earlier NX release, you can reinstate your previous user interface layout from the Last Release folder."
On the Resource Bar (right on the screen) search for icon like
