(OP)
Injection molding a 2 cavity, tunnel gated part out of Santoprene 8211-55, the shot weight is 1.0 lbs. The part is not shrinking length wise.

Using all of the suggestions to allow the part to shrink.
i.e. hot mold, fast fill, minimal pack, fast cycle.
One thing remains, should I run a colder or hotter melt temperature?

RE: Santoprene part not shrinking enough length wise.

Hello Dave,

Yep, I would suggest a warmer hotter melt temperature (more heat gives the material more time to shrink).  Good luck.
