title block fill

(OP)
is there a way that when you open a new drawing a dialouge box opens so you can globally fill in the the title block with the project information.

or is this a programming problem.

Thanks

RE: title block fill

We xref a title block in to each Paper Space layout, with all info project filled in, and title and sheet number spaces blank.  That way, we only have to change one file, and all 100 sheets change automatically.

RE: title block fill

You could use the dwgprops command, select the the custom tab and fill out your information, if an existing tab doesn't adequetly describe your title block than add as many new ones as you need, this data will be stored in the drawing. You can than call this information from your attributed title block using the fields (acad 2005 and on) right click in the attribute block, insert field and select document, then your data. do this for each tab. sht 1 and sht 2, then as you copy shts 3,4 ,5 etc. it will be automaticaly updated and filled in, as long as you only use the dwgsprops command to edit the title blocks.
