temp cycling rf hybrid problems

temp cycling rf hybrid problems

(OP)
Has anyone experience with temperature cycling
(+125C to -70C) problems in microwave hybrids such as printed circuit 180 or 90 degree stripline couplers. We have an assembly approx. 6x4x0.5 inch size that has to go thru temp and vibe and I wonder what problems may be encountered or how to mitigate common headaches before we have a company develop the hybrid.

i.e. possible problem areas;

1) moisture intrusion at the connector, freeze and heat. If the package is too expensive for hermetic sealing, what's the next best way to have connectors attached and the edges sealed to keep moisture out?

2) temp excursions ripping the solder connection off the circuit board. I know there are slip center conductors to prevent that, but for only 6" distance are they needed.

3) ?

thanks
kch
