Amd processors

(OP)
Hello everyone,
We are thinking about upgrading our machines here. Do I want to consider the AMD processors.
With the new x2’s that are out, they are impressive and 64 bit. Someone please if you have used or know if NX 3- Nx4 does well with it let me know Thanks in advance. Phil

RE: Amd processors

I use AMD Opteron 246's, and they are fantastic.  The X2's might be even faster now.

RE: Amd processors

I use the 939 pin 3200+,and I work use the NX2.I feel good about this processor.X2 is very excilent, but I don't think it is very suitable for UG.Maybe the FX-60 or FX-62 is the best AMD processor for our work. That's my personal opinion.

RE: Amd processors

I use an AMD Athlon 2800+.  Works find but I don't load large assemblies.

You probably won't notice a big difference between the processors unless you can count nanoseconds.
