Revision table date format

Revision table date format

Revision table date format

(OP)
Hello all,
I have searched the SW help and have not been able to find what I am looking for.
Now, I will tap into the vast knowledge of the users here.

I want to know if there is a way to change the automatic date format that is used in the revision table. It uses 8/2/2006 for example and I would like to use 08/02/06 or 08-02-06.

Has anyone found a way to accomplish this? I know that I can always edit the cell and that is what I have been doing but if I can change the table format I will.

Chris,
Thanks for the link. Good stuff to know.
I think I will just keeping editing the date since messing with the registry would affect all programs.

You're welcome.
What's wrong with it affecting all programs? They would be consistent.

Chris,
Actually nothing would be wrong doing that. But I only want that option for the date on our SolidWorks drawings in the title block and revision table. I was just trying to save some space on our drawings and be consistent with our older drawings. We can live with the 8/3/2006 format.

RE: Revision table date format

I have mine set for 08-03-06 for everything. Europe doesn't like it, they use 06-08-03. Confusing.
I know what you mean by wanting to save space. It would be a good enhancement request to SolidWorks to change the date format.
