Details - Adjusting the Caption

(OP)
I've placed a detail view on a drawing and the location of the caption on the original view is on the bottom of the detail circle.  I would like to move it so that it is not in the JUMBLE of the original view.  I want to move it from the 6 o-clock position to the 12 o-clock.

I can do it on the actual detail but not on the originial view.  any ideas?

RE: Details - Adjusting the Caption

Hi,

just select the detail on the original view then select
the caption by pressing the LMB and then move it. To
move the caption on the detail view select the detail
and hover over the caption when the cursor changes press
the LMB and move the caption.

I tried this and am able to get it to work for the larger detail, but on the original view, every time i hover over the detail circle, it just picks the regular view, and not the circle and caption...

RE: Details - Adjusting the Caption

Hi,

I've no problem with that. I just select the circle that defines
the origin of the detail view and then move the caption. I'm
running V18/Sp5

Ryandias,

Have you tried RMB after you see the ... next to the cursor.

I can't remember for sure if this works on details but form most entities you get a list of possible ones for you to choose from.

RE: Details - Adjusting the Caption

Ryandias,

I think the problem is that you have activated the option
'Active Layer'. Check the 'Select Options' for that. The
Button is the leftmost within the 'rubber band' next to the
pull down 'Fence Filter'

Bingo!!  DonYoung.  Thanks a bunch.  The select options did it.  Thanks again!
