segment of a sphere

(OP)
Heyy...I want to create a segment of a sphere but I only need the surface, how can I do it? Please help me...
p.s.
I only need a half of the surface of a sphere, it's a kind of a cap for a cylindrical vessel!

RE: segment of a sphere

this is more of a CAD question, but I would make an arc, and then place a coord system in the base of it, and revolve the arc the required degrees :)

this way I think you'll get ISO-Meshable surface.
