Many companies use substances marked as ASP in the EAFUS.
Can we assume that they have special permit/or premarket approval from the FDA and how can we find out if this is the case ?

Some of these stuff sound harmless like chives, cellery seed, vanilla extract, caramel but some are not e.g.
forrocianide, aluminum sulphate etc.
