STAAD concrete shear results

I thought I knew everything about STAAD; but guess what? I do not.

I ran a model with a curved beam. I made the beam lengths about 30 inches long. When the concrete design was complete, I got some weird results. IN summary, her is what I got:

1. No stirrups are required for torsion.
2. Reinforcement is required for shear; provide #5 2-legged stirrups at 9.3 inches c/c for 258 inches!!
3. On the concrete beam profile, it labeled 29#5 c/c 9.

Here are my questions:

A. How can STAAD ask for stirrups for a distance that is much longer than the beam length (32 inches)?
B. How come the stirrup size is different from those results just above it?

I searched STAAD FAQ data base and IO could not find one single item on this matter.

Has any one run into this situation ore how would you interpret the output?

Any words of wisdom would be appreciated.

Regards,
Lutfi

All,

Never mind. I found my mistake. It was a silly one. I did not switch the unit! This makes me feel much better.
