HQ Visualization - Simple Decal

HQ Visualization - Simple Decal

HQ Visualization - Simple Decal

(OP)
I'm messing about with the High Quality image menu and would like to apply a decal to my model. I'm following along with the instructions in the help file and all seems to be going well until it comes time to "select a face on which you want to place the image". It will only allow me to select the solid body (instead of an individual face). What's the trick to select faces?

NX2

RE: HQ Visualization - Simple Decal

To apply a material:

1. Optionally use the Selection Toolbar to filter out object types.
2. Select
   - Select the faces and/or bodies to which you want to apply a material.
   - Open the Materials in Part palette.
   - Place the cursor over the material you want to apply and click MB3.
   - Click Apply.

Did you set the filter to faces before applying the decal?

RE: HQ Visualization - Simple Decal

Just noticed the NX version. I'm not sure if this is the way it has to be done in NX2.

PennKoff,

Thanks, I knew it had to be something silly that I was overlooking. I totally forgot about the selection filter (it was turned off on my toolbar) since I didn't have much use for it before.
