change origin

(OP)
Hi,

Is it possible to change the origin of the part after the part has been created?

I was wondering if i can make all parts to have the same origin in an assembly.

thank you

RE: change origin

you may find it useful to create a separate part which has just the three main planes (XY, YZ, ZX) in it, to which you (a) snap the other parts' respective planes, and then (b) Apply a "Fix" constraint.

This way, each of the parts is fixed to the same origin.

You can use this technique to properly position components with any plane you'd like.
