Computerised Job Card
Computerised Job Card
(OP)
Hi
We are a small engineering company 12 employees & At the moment when a job comes in we put it in a job book , If we order any materails we put it in a seperate material book . Then when the job is complete we take the hours off of the timesheets put them on a T card with the job number & any materials so we know have a total for the job . Then the secretary takes this figure and types out an invoice to suit .
This is a very backwards way of working as i think you can see !
Question is there an easy to operate system that you could use that would make this part of our lives smell a whole lot sweeter
Regards
Chris

But there are many others. For a small firm that you say you are, you might have to shop a bit to find one that fits with your business.

RE: Computerised Job Card
Well I have used a product called Costimator. it is a very indepth product that takes alot of admin resources to set up for a company (this program is for most any type of manufacturing situations all rolled into one.) I am working on such a program that is broken down for certain metal manufacturing situations now. I will have some beta versions of this program in the next 10-12 weeks. I would like a good base to test this and give honest critism to what it may or may not work right.
I want this to be priced approprietly for those of us that are small in nature but want to compete with bigger companies in driving processing information and doing time studies.

My email addy if your interestind in recieving a beta copy is norb_g@hotmail.com
