ABOUT K - FACTOR

(OP)
HI THERE,
WE ARE DESIGNING SOME SHEET METAL PARTS, BUT WE ARE CONFUSED ABOUT HOW TO USE THE VALUE OF K-FACTOR. CAN SOMEONE TELL US SOMETHING ABOUT K-FACTOR?
THINK YOU VERY MUCH.

RE: ABOUT K - FACTOR

First of all, in Solid Edge, K Factor is called Neutral Factor. The default global Neutral factor could be set from Tools/Materail Table/Gage. (If you use V16 or earlier version, it's in Tools/Options/Part Properties). You can specify local Neutral factor for every bend you create in Sheet Metal Env. for instance, Flange, Contour Flange, Lofted Flange, Insert Bend, etc.
Solid Edge also provide customers an ability to specify Neutral factor from Customer formular. You may learn how to use customer formular from the readme file.
