How to add a weld to a flat face and the side of a tube?

(OP)
Hi,

I can't seem to add a weld between a flat face of a box to the side of a tube. The flat face is coincident with the side of a circular tube but none of the welds seem to go...Does anyone have any ideas?

RE: How to add a weld to a flat face and the side of a tube?

Are you talking about a weld feature from the weldment tools?

RE: How to add a weld to a flat face and the side of a tube?

It might work if you continue the flat face "up to surface" on the tube, so you have more than just a single point of coincidence?

It's in an assembly

Menu -> Insert -> Assembly Feature -> Weld bead...

I got it to work.....you can't select all the faces of the cube that coincide with the tube....I had to add two seperate welds to get it to weld all the way round the cube.......if you understand what I mean.....

Thanks all for the comments.
