Broken View Brake Line

Broken View Brake Line

Broken View Brake Line

(OP)
Using v7, I'd like to use a Broken View to cut off the bottom of a view.  I can do this by dragging the bottom brake line below the image, but then it throws the bottom brake line into the center of the view.  Is there a good way to do this?

Thanks

RE: Broken View Brake Line

I don't know if this will work in v7 but I would use a "break out" view rather than a "broken" view. A broken view must leave some material at both ends of the part but, a break out view can eleminate as much as you would like and it does not need to be linear.

Make certain that when you create the sketch that will define your break out, you select the view you want the break out associated with first and that you sketch a closed feature.
