Any good metal to plastic engineering firms?

Any good metal to plastic engineering firms?

Any good metal to plastic engineering firms?

(OP)
Hello All,

I know we certainly have a good deal of knowledgeable people on this site.  I was wondering if anyone could steer me to a really top-notch engineering firm that specializes in metal to plastic conversions.  The product in question will have a half dozen structures up to brief-case size.  No guesswork allowed on this one, it has to be on the money 1st time around.  Prefer a firm over an individual so as to get several good minds on it.

The location is midwestern USA, so a firm anywhere in North America would be feasible.

Thanks in advance!

As always, Ornery.

Arrk Silhouette is a multinational. They may have an office in North America.

The Society of Plastics Engineers might have a list of qualified members.

Hi,

You might try talking to the material manufacturers and find out who they sell stuff to - we (as moulders) have had recommendations to customers from material suppliers. (Not an advert! - wrong place and too busy anyway!!)

Suppliers of "metal replacement" polymers (i.e. about the same as light alloys), are such as EMS Chemie (Grivory), Du Pont (Zytel HTN), Solvay (Ixef), Ticona (LCP, plus others), LNP (Verton long fibre materials), to name but a few.........

Thanks Pat and Harry!  I've got a good line on several firms, also an inquiry into BASF tech center.  Thanks again.
