aurora 411 pump

Is anyone very familiar with this pump. We are having trouble getting the correct parts for it. The distributor has sent us the wrong mechanical seals. Now they sent us a sleeve, which is not what we need. The stationary seal is also wrong.

RE: aurora 411 pump

searching google with "aurora 411 pump" returned several positive hits.  perhaps one of these reps can assist you.

good luck!

No one seems to know what to do. All we want to do is replace the mechanical seal and bearings. they keep sending us parts that do not fit.

RE: aurora 411 pump

Could the pump have been machined to accept different parts during a previous repair?  If so, try to track who was the last one to work on the pump and see if you can determine what parts they used.

I believe this is the pump in question:

I would contact Aurora directly through their address as given in their website under "Contact Us".  I'll bet you get the answers and the service you deserve if you let them know what you're going through.

We contacted Aurora and they said they cannot deal with us. We have to deal with a rep. The rep we deal with doesn't seem to know anything but how to look up part numbers and send us "things". Very frustrating. They sent us a bronze sleeve to replace the old sleeve, why I don't know. Also the mechanical seal they sent is different. We believe that the pump was converted from bronze to a stainless steel setup, so this may be the prob. I hate dealing with reps who don't know what your'e talking about but we only have a certain number of "approved " reps we can deal with.

RE: aurora 411 pump

Did you ever resolve this situation? I may be able to help if you still need it.

RE: aurora 411 pump

We had a vendor come in who knew the pump. Turns out they sent us the wrong parts. We need a balanced seal. We can use some of the other parts, bearings, grease seals, etc. So now we are waiting on new seals. Should have just sent the damn thing out.
